The Mobile Food Store is a local project set up by Community Connections and Great Yarmouth & Waveney NHS. The aim is to get everybody to eat fresh Fruit ‘n' Veg. The Van is supplied with Fruit and Vegetables from McCarthy's in Norwich at wholesale price, so the savings are passed on directly to the customer. So not only do you eat healthier.... It's cheap too!

The Mobile Food Store has various locations in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft where they stop and "set-up-shop". Customers can then climb aboard to select the goods they would like to buy. The Health Trainers aboard can give you advice and guidance about healthy eating and other lifestyle changes - smoking cessation, increasing activity levels, weight management and more.

They can also provide you with "taster" samples if you are unsure if you like a particular Fruit or Vegetable.

Maybe you have seen something on TV or in a cookbook that you would like to try..... Just ask one of the Health Trainers who run the Food Store and they will try to order that item for you and provide it at wholesale price!
