Information |
We are committed to local people having good quality information which informs their personal choices.
Without information people cannot participate in decision making processes which effect their lives
and the life of their community.
|
|
Community Liaison and Information Points (CLIPs) are a unique way of providing information by:
- direct links to local community partnerships and all their information and activities
- leaflets, posters, time tables
- newsletters
- phone, email and internet
- talking to an information worker and finding out about council services
- finding out where to go for what you need
- attending a surgery being held by people like your local councillor, your Member of Parliament, the CAB,
Pensioner Service, Patient Advice, Community Police Officer
- liaising with other people from your community
- passing on news
- learning about what is available in your area
- getting involved as a Community Maker and learning by doing
|

|
CLIP Workers help set up and manage CLIPs, train, support and manage CLIP Community Makers (volunteers),
and are developing quality standards to ensure a good service.
|
We don't just provide information in CLIPs. CLIP workers also:
- work in partnership with Great Yarmouth police to run the Community Information Bus
- put information racks in shops, post offices, chip shops and all sorts of other places
- attend community partnerships and gather all the information that is shared there to send out by post and in newsletters
- update the community pages of the Local Strategic Partnership website www.gylsp.org.uk. Check it out !!!
|
