Community Connections' Community Development Workers are able to offer community groups a lot of advice on funding and grants. In particular they can give development support to voluntary, community and faith groups wishing to get a Community Chest or Community Learning Chest grant to develop their voluntary and community activities. Community Connections has assisted the task of the Community Empowerment Working Group by administering the process of making these grants. To date 98 community and voluntary groups have received funding of around £273,000.

Each CLIP can offer you access to the FunderFinder programme, a computer based programme which lets you search for grants that fit your need. You should contact your local CLIP about this (see the community map). A CLIP worker will show you how it all works and support you in your search.
