Our Community Development Workers are engaged in a wide range of support for
support for individuals and groups.
These activities include:
- Support and advice to existing and newly formed community groups and networks
- Responsibility for the development and facilitating of Community Partnerships
- Community work training
- Funding advice
- Community participation activities like "Planning for Real" type exercises and the development
of village appraisals and Parish Plans
|
|
|
Often a Community Development Worker will spend a lot of time with a newly forming group,
offering support, training, and "a safe pair of hands".
The aim, however, is always to empower local people and develop their confidence and skills
to achieve the goals they have set themselves. |
|
We have been able to help a lot of very different groups in the areas we cover.
Our hope is that we can make it possible for every area of the Borough to have access to a
Community Partnership, a Community Development Worker and a CLIP.
If you feel it would help your area please contact us on 01493 655048 |
