PAAVS - Introduction Back To Previous Page

Introduction
PAAVS has enabled many VCS organisations, both large and small, to deliver their own accredited learning through the NOCN (National Open College Network) and these organisations have seen for themselves that the accreditation process is more straight forward and not nearly as cumbersome as they may have thought! The transfer of knowledge, skills and experience is going on all the time in the sector and PAAVS - through the NOCN - provides VCS staff, volunteers and service users the chance to gain recognition of this beyond their own organisations.

Accredited courses can be up and running in a matter of weeks, not months! Basically, PAAVS has done all the thinking and hard work so that other organisations don't have to. By pooling knowledge, skills and experience into one resource - one service - this allows everyone to share in the past experience and best practice of all involved, meaning that time and effort need not be duplicated.
