Community Development Workers

Community Development Workers are engaged in a wide range of support for support for individuals and groups.
These activities include:
  • Support and advice to existing and newly formed community groups and networks
  • Responsibility for the development and facilitating of Community Partnerships
  • Community work training
  • Funding advice
  • Community engagement and consultation
  • Getting back to work
  • Develop a new idea or Social enterprise

Community Development Team

Often a Community Development Worker will spend a lot of time with a newly forming group, offering support, training, and "a safe pair of hands".
The aim, however, is always to empower local people and develop their confidence and skills to achieve the goals they have set themselves.
